The term Catch-22 describes a paradoxical situation a person cannot escape due to contradictory rules. In Heller’s novel of the same name, US military pilots attempt to excuse themselves from flying combat missions by claiming insanity. However, their commander’s policy is that simply wanting out of such dangerous missions is evidence enough to prove one’s sanity. Interestingly, a similar paradox has allowed President Trump to escape assassination on multiple occasions.
If the radical left of the Democrat party can be described in one word, it is weak. They are weak in body, mind and spirit. We have all seen the protests; a parade of societal misfits, collectively finding acceptance and unity in an angry cult that showcases hatred as a virtue. That hatred has radicalized some rather unimpressive and hopeless people to treasonous action, but just like life itself, they’re not very good at it.
These leftists are weak mentally and cannot think for themselves. Their non-arguments on critical issues define intellectual laziness and dissolve under minimal scrutiny. Instead of engaging in fact-based debate, they shout regurgitations of NBC headlines and unhinged social media posts. The most recent assassin’s manifesto referred to Trump as both a pedophile and a rapist. Of course, no proof exists for such claims, but evidence only holds value for individuals with the intellectual capacity to weigh it.
Leftists are also typically weak physically. Often obese women and scrawny men, they have abandoned any attempt at self-improvement, and they project their insecurity and bitterness onto their enemies. Blue hair, gratuitous facial piercings, and stretched-out ear lobes are all attempts to portray a voluntary rejection of the traditional beauty standards in which they could never compete. In lieu of achievement-based self esteem, self-loathing occupies their hearts, and resentment, their souls.
Leftists are spiritually deficient as they do not believe in God. With no deity, there is no humility, and man himself is promoted to be the arbiter of moral justice. Absent faith and any true true meaning in their lives, politics becomes their religion and something worthy of martyrdom.
In colloquial summary, leftists generally suck at life. This is the natural result of a combination of losing the genetic lottery, having no drive to better themselves, and preferring to blame others for their problems. It is this group of people who so often become radicalized by propaganda and quixotic delusions. It is this group of people who choose nihilism over meaning, and resentment over gratitude. And fortunately for the President, it is from this group of predominantly useless people that the recent flock of attempted assassins has sprung, each one throwing his life away in pursuit of committing what he viewed as a righteous murder.
Perhaps if they were smarter, stronger, and more stable, they would prove themselves to be more capable of their heinous intentions.
But then, in classic Catch-22 fashion, if they were indeed stronger in body, mind, and spirit, they likely wouldn’t be hateful, violent leftists in the first place.
