Her name was Laken Riley. She was a nursing student and, by all accounts, a wonderful young woman. Laken went for a run on the UGA Athens campus a few days ago and went missing until her body was found, dead from blunt force trauma. She was murdered by José Antonio Ibarra, a 26 yr old Venezuelan who crossed into the country illegally in September of 2022.
Five months ago, Ibarra was arrested in New York for injury to a child, but he was released by doughy DA Alvin Bragg, who at the time was preoccupied with manufacturing an indictment against Donald Trump. Ibarra should have been detained, handed over to ICE, and deported. Instead, Laken has become the latest homicide victim at the hands of illegal immigrants. Mollie Tibbetts and Kate Steinle were also killed in recent years by men who had no right to be in this country.
With Americans dying from violent individuals and fentanyl flowing into the country, one would think their government would be interested in securing the border, like it was under President Trump. The brutal truth, however, is that those in power have done the math, and Laken Riley was deemed expendable in the name of a greater cause.
Understand that these fatalities are very much included in the calculus of Democrat border poilcy. Those in control are fully aware that there are very dangerous people among the estimated ten million illegal immigrants they have let into the country. They are aware that countries like Venezuela have emptied prisons and sent the freed inmates north. They are aware of the fentanyl and sex trafficking that occurs daily. They are aware there will be thousands of American casualties during this orchestrated demographic makeover of the country. They simply view the deaths of innocent Americans as acceptable breakage in achieving their goal of one-party rule.
At the foundation of their strategy is the likely correct assumption that they are importing millions of future Democrat voters. Poor, illiterate, and accustomed to endless freebies from the first minute they illegally enter our country, Democrats will foster these immigrants’ dependency for generations, harvesting their ballots along the way, and making Republican election victories impossible.
Law-abiding, tax-contributing citizens are being put last. Law-breaking, tax-absorbing moochers from around the world are being put first. The media are too busy making excuses for their allies on the left to hold anyone accountable. Democrat voters cannot see the issue clearly as they are hopelessly conditioned to label any criticism of open borders as racist. The coastal elites who support these deadly policies live in areas where illegal immigrants are not allowed, such as gated communities or Martha’s Vineyard. They know it will not be their children getting raped or killed, so they are free to declare, “No human being is illegal.” The President could solve this issue tomorrow by reinstating Trump’s policies, but he will not. The fate of the country depends on getting Trump back in office so he can clean up this mess because no one else can.
The architects of Laken Riley’s death know what they are doing. They are pursuing a greater good defined as their own perpetual rule. If some non-elite Americans have to die in the process, then that is simply a price they are willing to make us pay.
