Presidential candidate Donald Trump had until today to post a nearly half a billion dollar bond in order to appeal a NY civil fraud charge that was invented just for him during an election year. Of course, this was an unheard of sum of money for this purpose by a multiple of fifty, but the ghouls on the left have nonetheless been celebrating the abusive ruling for the past couple of weeks. From the Trump Derangement-crazed cretins on MSNBC, to the late night hosts nobody watches, they have reveled gleefully in their “Broke Don” punchlines. As leftists, they have no principles, values, or standards to help them gauge and appreciate just how wrong, how un-American, or how damaging this level of injustice is to the country. They just know that something bad happened to the man pictured on their government-issued two minutes hate card, and they dutifully proved their loyalty to the Biden regime by mocking the latest victim of his weaponized justice system.
Unfortunately for Trump’s detractors, his 8th Amendment rights were glancingly defended today by an appeals court who lessened his bond from an insane $464M to a ridiculous $175M. Trump has ten days to put up the cash, which should prevent any seizure of his assets. This ruling no doubt ruffles the feathers of the incompetent and corrupt AG Letitia James who campaigned on “being a real pain in the ass” to Donald Trump. Likewise for the partisan judge who initially issued the outrageous bond order, his creepiness, Judge Engoron. Both have been a disgrace to the judicial system during this whole process. Their approach can be summarized as no jury, no crime, no victim…no problem. It is obvious that justice has never once been a consideration for either of these two leftist hacks. Having squandered whatever little credibility remained of the NY justice system, Letitia James will attempt to see this political prosecution out to its bitter end. Whatever desperate strategy she employs next to achieve her objective of election interference, the corrupt media will unquestioningly cheer it, alleging equal treatment before the law, even as she pursues a case no one has ever conceived before this one.
The unelected executive branch authoritarians that write Biden’s cue cards rightfully see Trump as a threat to their own power and are throwing everything they can think of at him to obstruct his path back to the White House. Letitia James is simply a pawn of the deep state in this effort, as is Fani Willis and Alvin Bragg, though a Shakespearean combination of ignorance and arrogance on their part blinds them to this reality. They are being used in the same fashion Democrats always use minorities for their own ends.
It is no coincidence that three out of four of Trump’s prosecutors are black Americans. The Democrats knew exactly how paper thin these indictments were, but in choosing people of color to bring the ridiculous charges, they assumed they had purchased an additional layer of protection against criticism. They were likely correct in believing they could rely on the media’s loyalty in smearing any criticism of their actions as racism, but they were characteristically out of touch in overestimating the gullibility of the American public. The citizens of this country see this desperate lawfare for what it is, and Trump’s support continues to grow. As Americans see their judicial system being desecrated beyond all recognition by bureaucrats for political gain, they are only left to conclude that the man they are attacking is the only man who can restore confidence in our institutions of justice going forward.
