Don’t Push the Irish

Conor McGregor has had a storied career as an MMA champion.  The cocky Irishman has been known to run his mouth from time to time about his opponents, but this time he is punching far above his weight class and may be in for the fight of his life.

McGregor has garnered worldwide attention lately for fiery comments he posted in response to the stabbing of a woman and three children in Ireland by an Algerian-born man.  Globalist propaganda merchants like the Washington Post were quick to assure readers that the assailant was an Irish citizen, therefore immigration wasn’t to blame. They neglected to mention he was in fact an immigrant who lived off the government dole for more than two decades before one day deciding to stab innocent children.

The attack, along with another murder of a young teacher by a Slovakian immigrant, has caused many Irish citizens to reach their breaking point.  Some took to social media to express their outrage at their government’s failing immigration policies, others took to the streets.  The media predictably blamed the subsequent violent protests on far-right, anti-immigrant hooligans.  Though the truth is that for many Irish nationals, this recent stabbing outside of a school was the straw that broke the proverbial camel’s back.  Similar situations have unfolded in many European countries that have seen huge increases in immigration accompanied by an increase in crime and government spending.  The latest figures showed Irish taxpayers shelling out over €42M each month to accommodate asylum seekers.

McGregor, for his part, has condemned the street violence, but has also landed blow after blow with online posts against the out of touch bureaucrats in government who have been negligent in their primary duty which is to protect the Irish citizenry.  He has called them worthless, weak, and feeble.  He has told them to make change or make way. With over 10M followers on X, McGregor has loudly echoed the frustration of his fellow citizens who feel they have no sway with the ever powerful aristocracy.

The multiculturalists who monopolize Ireland’s public office fancy themselves as compassionate and enlightened, unlike the bigoted masses they feel cursed to represent.  To the elitists in charge, the ignorant dissidents are simply too blind to see the cultural enrichment that all immigrants bring to their country, particularly those who do not speak the language, who hold strong opposing religious views and who have no intention of assimilating into society.

In Europe, as well as the US, the condescending ruling class has the luxury of endorsing liberal immigration policies from which they will never personally feel any effects. The politicians do not wade through the homeless on their way to work. They do not fear for their safety because they have private security. It is not their sons being knifed, nor their daughters being raped. As for cost, the money to shelter and feed these migrants comes from the same bottomless trough of money from which they derive their generous salaries. So, they warn their constituents against the evils of xenophobia, as they travel by motorcade to their next EU meeting, eager to impress the sanctimonious council with a report of the large number of refugees they plan to admit at taxpayer expense.

Now, with tensions starting to boil over, Irish PM Leo Varadkar has a solution.  He and his merry band of totalitarian sycophants will simply criminalize any criticism of their immigration policies or the immigrants themselves.  A newly proposed hate speech law will jail anyone who “prepares or possesses material that is likely to incite violence or hatred against a person or group of persons on account of their protected characteristics.”  Therefore, if you disagree with your government officials importing countless Sharia law proponents, unemployable vagrants, or holocaust enthusiasts, better keep that hateful opinion to yourself. Further, you better not even possess offensive material on your phone. If this law passes, any post, text, or meme deemed insufficiently inclusive by a council of Irish Karens could land you in the clinker for five years.

In every regime throughout history, the same power given to the government to protect the people will ultimately be used against the people.  The guns that once pointed outward toward the enemies of the citizens eventually point inward toward enemies of the state.  As it so happens, Conor McGregor may be first on the chopping block. Irish authorities have reportedly already opened an investigation into his recent badspeak. Since his social media following is twice the population of Ireland, the despots in charge can not allow his recent insolence to go unpunished. They will seek to make an example of him.

These power-obsessed fools may wish to think twice before going down the road of political prosecution. It hasn’t exactly had an exemplary record lately. Our own homegrown authoritarians have impeached and indicted Donald Trump right into being the favorite to win the Presidency. Given the disrespect felt by ordinary citizens, and the elitists’ plans to silence any opposition, Ireland may look, as America did, to find someone who not only opposes these powdered tyrants, but insults them with his very presence. They may realize it takes an outsider to fix a system so corrupted and so broken. And if the stuffed shirts in the Irish government continue to vilify Conor McGregor for speaking the truth, they might just wake up one day with a Prime Minister who can kick their ass in more ways than one.
