To say the launching of this blog is a dream come true is a bit of an understatement. I have been writing somewhat consistently on topics that interest me for the past 20 years, mostly political issues, mostly just for myself in an effort to organize my thoughts. I have found that if you truly want to understand a subject, its nature, arguments surrounding it and your own personal opinion of it, the best path to that level of comprehension is through writing. I have also found the challenge of gathering information, exploring my thoughts and finding the exact language to express my viewpoints to be quite an enjoyable and rewarding experience. Political debate has been a passion for me ever since the world changed forever on 9/11. Realizing just how small the world had actually become and how dramatically world events and public policy can shape our lives, I wanted to be as informed and articulate as I could be on subjects that mattered to me, so I started to write. Until this point, any work I’ve done was either shared with friends or rather artlessly posted on social media. After years of being urged to take things to the next level, I’m excited to finally be sharing what some have called a talent through a medium commensurate with the sincere appreciation and fondness I have for writing. Instead of just being a commentator, I see this as an opportunity to actually be a source for information and insight into current events.

I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who has encouraged me over the years to take this step, please know I’m forever grateful. A special thank you to my lovely wife Jayne who inspires me daily to challenge myself, never stop growing and live a life worth dying for. My hope is this blog will make even the smallest impact on preserving the best qualities of our country for our beautiful daughter.
