The Rock is a Cowardly Opportunist

In 2020, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson gave a thoroughly scripted and cringeworthy endorsement of the Biden/Harris ticket in a Covid-era online interview.  The genuineness he displayed was somewhere between a hostage video and a professional athlete promoting a soft drink, however, with his immense popularity, he no doubt helped swing low information, new generation voters into Biden’s camp.

Recently, in an interview with Fox’s Will Cain, Johnson admitted that he is not happy about the direction of the country.  Conservative media has leapt upon his statements with headlines saying Johnson regrets supporting Biden, but that is not an accurate depiction of what he said.  A statement like that would have just been too honest and too brave.  All he actually admitted to was regret in making a political endorsement in the first place, due to the “division” it caused.
If Johnson was being sincere and not simply walking a fence of damage control in order to keep his own future political ambitions sanguine, he would have admitted that Biden has been an absolute disaster, that times were better under the previous administration, and he would have endorsed Trump on the spot.

But Johnson would never do that.  He is too afraid.  In 2020, he sold out to pressure from Hollywood to endorse their guy a few weeks ahead of the election, and his career continued to flourish.  The HGH-riddled, Schwarzenegger-like action star of his generation actually endorsed a political party that idolizes men who dress up as women because it was in his financial interest to do so.  Now that Biden’s weakness has caused mayhem and suffering all around the globe, Johnson meets that reality with a shrug and a sigh.

A man with integrity would admit his mistake and use his influence to aggressively move towards a solution.  Instead, after helping Biden cause what is possibly irreparable harm to the country, the Rock tucks his tail, retreats to his fence, and sheepishly says he shouldn’t have gotten involved.

Thanks, Rock.  That will surely help fix the damage you helped cause.
