There are several phrases being focus grouped by Democrat leadership as the election approaches.  “MAGA extremist” is a popular term used to describe anyone who thinks men shouldn’t play in women’s sports.  “Bidenomics” describes crippling inflation, home unaffordability, and a stock market hasn’t made any gains in two and a half years.  But a current favorite expression in the vernacular of the poverty pimps and race hustlers of the DNC has to be “a threat to our democracy.”  It is everywhere.  Jim Jordan’s bid for the Speakership is a threat to our democracy.  Opposing blank checks to Ukraine is a major threat to our democracy.  Donald Trump’s mere existence is a super mega nuclear threat to our democracy. 

Here’s why this is stupid.

First, our country is a Constitutional Republic, not a democracy, and it is rather important to know the difference.  Second, this is the same political party that relentlessly seeks to undermine the democratic process at every turn.  Democrats have recently opposed every election security measure ever conceived by man. They prefer censorship over debate, and with the help of their allies in Silicon Valley and the FBI, they have actively engaged in limiting the information voters are permitted to have.  

So, with protecting democracy clearly not a concern for Democrats, what exactly is being threatened?  To answer that question, one must wade into the infinity pool of arrogance that is leftism. 

Democrats believe that they know better than you how you should live your life.  They know how your hard-earned money should be spent. They know what transportation you should have.  They know what you should be allowed to hear and say, as well as what you should put into your body. In fact, in their view, so-called freedom accomplishes little besides allowing citizens the opportunity to make decisions with which the ruling class disapproves.  What Democrats find maddening is their belief that with just a little more power and control over people’s lives, they would undoubtedly usher in the utopia.

Standing in their way are the annoying voices constantly shrieking about individual rights, fiscal responsibility, and something called the Constitution.  These voices are more than a nuisance. They preclude the heaven on earth that one-party rule would bring. When Democrats call someone a threat to democracy, what they really mean is that this person is a threat to their unbridled power.  Notice that Democrats reserve this moniker for the people who are most effective at exposing the left for the power-hungry fraudsters they are.  Knowing they cannot defeat them in debate, the left tries to destroy their character and credibility. Anyone who offers compelling ideas contrary to leftwing orthodoxy must be labeled as dangerous. They have little choice.

The racial division bellowed by Democrats for decades has become less effective as we now see minorities leaving the party in droves. Democrat-run cities have become hellholes of crime and addiction.  The only reason the party remains in existence is income redistribution and mail-in ballots. Of course, there will always be people willing to exchange freedom for free stuff, but do not mention the heavy bet the dems are making on the open border. Calling attention to this obvious and desperate grift could earn you the latest superlative smear from the left, a threat to democracy.
